Comprehensive pet insurance with great employees

I initially chose Embrace because of the value - good coverage for the premium. They were not the cheapest, but if I ever had to make a claim, they had the fewest restrictions in regards to what they would cover (for example, they pay for the doctor's exams, where many other companies will not), and I was able to choose from a variety of coverage options right on their website, which they were very transparent about the coverage and cost for each. Sadly for my pet, I had to make a claim (several, in fact), but happily for my pet, everyone on the Embrace staff was very friendly and straightforward to deal with, and I was able to treat him without worry that the insurance company would fight me for every penny. I have both called and emailed Embrace staff about 10 times now to ask questions, and I am always impressed with their friendly attitude and great service. Another reviewer mentioned you get to talk with a real person. And you do. Every time. And they call you back when they say they will call you back. I cannot say enough good things. And it's not just 1 employee I spoke with. I must have spoke with 10 employees by this time. Every one of them is helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I am always blown away by how wonderful it is to deal with them. It's easy for a company to be "great" when you never have to interact with anyone there. Embrace is a GREAT company!

I was with another pet insurance company for 14 years and it was fine. But, when we got a new puppy I decided it was time to shop around because a lot can change in 14 years! I chose Embrace, and 18 months and a few claim later, I could not be more pleased with Embrace. While comparing companies I spoke with Embrace staff and they answered all my questions clearly and completely. Their claim form is simple and you receive email updates about your claim during the processing. The claim processing time has been extremely quick! You can't beat the direct deposit either! I have had claims over $1,000 and some under $100 - all have been processed quickly and the explanation of benefits is easy to understand. Embrace has been great to work with and I highly recommend them.

Great Customer Service

I mailed in four Embrace Claim Forms for my two dogs. All claims were handled very promptly. It was a very easy process and hassle free. I would absolutely recommend Embrace Insurance for your furry children!

Very pleased

So far, so good! We have both our dogs covered by Embrace and the service has been excellent. Our long haired chihuahua was having some skin issues and was referred to a dermatologist by her primary vet. She has had to go once a month to monitor her progress on her meds and after we met our deductible, Embrace has reimbursed most of what we have spent in a very timely manner. The whole process has been super easy and getting Embrace has definitely been one of the best decisions we could have made.

Great Customer Service

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
