Easier than Expected

I never wanted to have to use my dog medical insurance, but my lab mix, Honey, was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma, an aggressive type of cancer, less than a month ago. The Embrace team was extremely responsive with my claim and very helpful reassuring me regarding what was covered. I am delighted with their service, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a compassionate pet care insurer.

Did I really only pay $35 on a total kitten plan?

Yes I did. The original cost was $235, and after Embrace processed our wellness claim for my little cat, I had only spent $35. I am extremely pleased with Embrace. As an added plus, when I was deciding which company to go with for pet insurance, the Embracers were more than happy to answer every single one of my questions (no matter how silly or hypothetical). They didn't even mind when I called back after two minutes because I had thought of a new question!

Impressed with the professionalism

I've been with Embrace for over a year now. Every time I've needed assistance they have been pleasant, quick and informative. This is my first experience having pet insurance and I was leery of what it would entail. I'm impressed. Thanks!

Embrace is a fabulous insurance for my dogs

Embrace responded very quickly via email and explained exactly what I needed to submit in order for my claim to be processed. I am getting about a 40% reimbursement and appreciate it. I was with another company many years back, and I never was reimbursed for anything. I was not sure why I had insurance. Embrace has renewed my faith in pet insurance.

claim experience positive but slowing processing

I have been a great fan of embrace. The staff are lively, the claim process easy and transparent and I like the 80% of billed services rather than a specified coverage amount. However my experience with recent claims have been that they have been processed and reimbursed much slower than in the past. The most recent conversation I had with the staff indicated that this was because they were very busy and were training new staff but I think they should be held to a standard of a quicker response time

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
