Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I did my homework and decided to go with an insurer that would pay based on the bill not pay on a schedule of allowables.... Then when my Bernese Mountain dog had a large claim this past November, they promptly paid based on the bill... Excellent... Customer services was both courteous and prompt.

My pooch had been limping for a while - initially we thought it was a broken toe, but when he was x-rayed it turns out there was some gravel that got buried in his pad and was stuck there. After removal, he got better quickly. The Embrace claim was easy - took a *little* bit longer than I would have hoped, but it was all hands off -they handled all communication with my vet and I got exactly what I expected in reimbursement. It was a relief!

My cat got sick, I was not sure what was wrong but she was lethargic and was not eating. I took her to the vet (I finally found one that is caring and honest)she recovered and I submitted the bills and got reimbursed quicker than I ever thought and it was pretty simple to do, no muss no fuss. I checked the status online and bam the money came in the mail. It was that simple. Frankly I was quite skeptic of this as I heard some stories around but this company made me loose all my fears. I believe there might be a waiting period before you can claim, but I'm not sure. I have that with my private humana dental insurance (you have to wait a year before you can use it) but I don't think its not the case with Embrace, they just check prior illness and if the pet has had it within the same year its not covered I believe but that's mostly the same with all private insurances mostly. Any way I think this company was one of my best decisions I have made regarding being overly pre-pared as I tend to be sometimes. Buy it you wont be sorry.

This review is for overall care for my dog. The total amount is for the amount accured over the past year... At the beginning of 2014 I decided to get pet insurance for two of my 3 dogs. The third dog has hip issues, and I didn't think having insurance would help her... I am going to add her in when I renew. I believed I was never going to need the insurance. Boy, was I WRONG! In July, Eve, my youngest St. Bernard started vomiting blood! She's had multiple meds, multiple Dr's visits, and tests (including an EGD, with a biopsy). The Dr. says she has IBD, and thank God... no cancer cells were found. The Dr. is hopeful some new meds might help her feel a lot better. My poor baby went from 100 pounds, down to 88 pounds. There is nothing more pathetic than a skinny St. Bernard. She's my forever puppy. She's my helper. When she felt better, and I couldn't get up from the floor, she would come over and stand sideways allowing me to use her hips, and shoulder as leverage to stand up. How could I not help her after she helped me? Embrace has made treating her not such a financial burden. The money I put into the insurance was the best money I could have spent. Knowing I was able to treat her... has put me at ease. Thank you, Embrace! I am so glad I chose you!!!

My beloved labrador retriever is the third "child" in our family. At 6, she was in pain every day from bilateral rear ligament tears. We were able to afford the surgery because of this insurance company. We were reimbursed as promised with no arguments or questioning. I would recommend Embrace to anyone who owns a pet.
