Quick claims review

My dogs yearly claims for her immune condition. My dog was diagnosed with a rare immune disease in 2010. Less than 1% of all dogs have this condition. Fortunately, when I adopted her from the dog shelter in 2008, I got her Embrace policy. I turned in $3000 worth of claims in 2010 which were promptly paid by Embrace once they had her doctors records. She must go in yearly for rechecks which cost around $400. However, this year she also had some minor illnesses of diarrhea a couple of times and ear infections. I kept all of my bills for her (over $1000) and turned them in on Monday and they were paid on Friday.

Beware embrace

Embrace is very aggressive in preexisting conditions exclusions. They will exclude a wide array of conditions if your pet has ever had diarrhea or other common issues. Their marketing is very slick, but when push comes to shove they are quick to leave you with the bill and a sick pet.

Never a Problem

I had another company before Embrace for my dog and my cats and they always found a reason to deny my claim. Embrace has accepted every claim I've submitted so far. If course, I've never had more than my deductible in expenses, but I'd rather have a healthy pet than make back the money I've spent in insurance and vet fees.

Outstanding value and service!

After only one year of coverage, my Great Dane tore his ACL and needed a TPLO (the required "fix" for large dogs). He had a recurring infection while healing and needed Dane-sized doses of expensive antibiotics. He also needed the metal plate removed, when the bone healed, to prevent future infections. The total was over $12,000. Embrace covered the agreed 80% (including hydrotherapy which helped him heal more quickly)promptly and without question. The two companies I used in the past can't compare, and I recommend Embrace every chance I get. (In fact, I wish they had a referral bonus program, but at least I'm able to help other pet owners. :)

I love Embrace

Embrace is great. There are no secrets, everything is straightforward, timeframe for expected service is fair, and above all, they don't treat me like I'm stupid for having questions. I've called three times (Spay, Genital Smeats, Digestive indiscretion) now and every time they were able to explain to me everything I needed to know. Embrace will be my insurance carrier for my current puppy and any other eligible pet moving forward.
