Rejected.

My pet Sunny, has been rejected for every claim i have filed this whole year! He had an arthritis problem which was not pre-existing and cost alot of money to get it diagnosed and in the end, Embrace said i had to first meet the $500 deductible, then a few other claims which also got rejected because they were considered "pre-existing". Lots of dogs have allergy problems but since it is "pre-existing" is not covered. The medications are expensive... Does the insurance only cover for emergencies only then?

gastric nightmare

My black lab pup got into something toxic and threw bloodfor a couple of days. Got him back to normal in about a week. Embrace is good but is inconsistent in the timing of processing their claims. processing

Don't waste your money

They don't cover any condition that was even present before you take out coverage. So if your dog has something that the vet has looked at before but no action was needed at the time. It is not covered if you need something done at a later time.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
