I have really NEVER had an issue getting reimbursement from Embrace. Yes, the coverage is expensive, but you're basically rebated a significant amount of your premium dollars with each vet visit -- annual wellness and/or dental cleanings. And it's great to know if you ever REALLY need insurance for a very expensive or life saving procedure, it's there.

Long Term, Very Satisfied Customer
I've been a customer of Embrace for eight years now, having insured my eight year old dachshund when he was a puppy. Purchasing insurance through Embrace was the best decision I've made for my dog. Dachshunds have a history of back problems, and frequently get IVDD, a very serious disc disease leading to paralysis if not treated surgically. Most carriers won't cover preexisting conditions, and any breed specific condition is considered preexisting if a particular breed is prone to getting it. I knew I didn't need insurance coverage for typical check-ups, but I feared what would happen if my dog ever needed back surgery. Embrace, unlike most other carriers, covers breed specific preexisting conditions, so they covered my dog for potential issues with IVDD. I had coverage for four years without using it one time. At one point, I cancelled because I felt like the insurance was a waste. I quickly rethought my decision, and reinsured my dog. Six months after I cancelled my insurance, my dog had his first incidence of IVDD. Without surgery, he would be paralyzed, and surgery cost ~$10,000. I didn't have to hesitate to give him the best care, because he was insured through Embrace. I submitted the claim, and Embrace quickly reimbursed me for my costs. Since that time, my dog has had two additional incidents of IVDD, and has required surgery each time. My premiums are expensive. I now pay around $1,100 each year to have him insured. But Embrace has paid for each of his ~$10,000 surgeries, to a tune of almost $30,000. I'm sure I'm Embrace's worst customer, but they are my favorite insurance carrier. I can't say enough about the company, and I strongly recommend insuring your pet through Embrace.

Super Service
Shadow was diagnosed with Vaginal Hypoplasia and need surgery. Our vet faxed the claim to Embrace after 4pm and at 7pm the next morning I had an email saying the claim was approved. Past experience tells me the check will be in my bank account very soon.

A True Lifesaver
When we rescued a mixed breed schnauzer 6 years ago, we were concerned about potential large vet bills and had our dog checked carefully for any signs of bad health. When our vet gave our new pooch a thumbs up, she still suggested a catastrophic Heath plan in case our dog got ht by a car or developed a serious illness later on. Two years ago, our dog was diagnosed with a brain tumor which with careful treatment could be controlled and medium to long term survival was possible with good results on quality of life. Our ongoing expenses over the last 2 years have exceeded $10,000 of which Embrace has covered 90%. Our dog is now receiving advanced treatments and Embrace has been a true lifesaver.
