i was going to stop coverage because rates were going up --but forgot it--well our kcbaby got bit and inffected by something (cat squirrel?) and after days of 104 temp and emergency and vet care (over thanksgiving) i'm glad i did not stop coverage--bills ran $3500+ got my reimbursement quickly, and worth the coverage. wish i would have taken the drug coverage tho--kc had a lot of intravenous etc which was not covered but in the past years did not need. she had irritable bowel trouble overr the years and needed a lot of medical work with bills and these people paid and quick

So grateful Embrace covered our rescue dog!
When we adopted Dahlia (a 3 or 4 year old Belgian Sheepdog) from the Cuyahoga County Shelter in late September, she came with 60 days of free coverage from Embrace. Dahlia had been a stray and developed health problems while on the street, including heartworm. The shelter nursed her back to health. She is sweet and loving, and immediately became part of our family. In late November, she suddenly had difficulty breathing. It was a Sunday, so we took her to an emergency clinic where they diagnosed her collapsed lung. There was leakage of air from her lungs into her abdomen, and she as very uncomfortable. Our regular vet confirmed that the choice was either euthanasia or a specialty clinic. We went to the clinic, where they inserted chest tubes and drew the air out. In about a week, her lungs healed, stopped leaking, and we were able to bring her home. She is recovering very well.
We are thrilled with the customer service at Embrace. First, her name was Poppie at the shelter, and all the papers we submitted had the name we gave her, Dahlia. Embrace asked nicely about this and now all our paperwork has both names. They were also very understanding that three people in our household were involved in her care, so the policy and the bills show different names for the owner. They carefully looked at Dahlia's history at the shelter and her wellness check when we first adopted her. They honored the start date of the policy as the date of adoption, which fulfilled the waiting period for an illness. They paid based on the exact deductible and 80% covered by the policy. We were concerned they would say there was a pre-existing condition, but this was an unrelated illness and they were good to their word. We are very grateful that Embrace offers 60 days of coverage for shelter dogs, as we had never heard of the company before. We are very glad to have Dahlia home with us. We are very satisfied with Embrace. One thing is for sure - Dahlia will remain covered by Embrace!
