Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

Having Embrace pet insurance has been very helpful in managing large vet expenses for my dog. Their customer service has been great and their coverage of claims has been fair and without any surprises.

We have a 3 year old yellow lab mix rescue. She has had insurance since we got her at about 2 months old and immediately enrolled her in the Embrace Insurance before she had any pre-existing conditions. She is very healthy, but has developed incontinence from being spayed. This is an ongoing problem which she will take medication for the rest of her life. We haven't needed to use the insurance much, but it sure will come in handy now. We have had Embrace for our last 2 dogs and have been very happy with it. They pay promptly and as long as it isn't a pre-existing condition, are very fair. I like that there is no set schedule for what will be covered as with some pet insurance. I have recommended this insurance to many of my friends and will always have it for my dogs.

In 2014, my canine pal Pancho was diagnosed with incurable Cushing's disease, other wise known as pituitary dependent hypercortisolism. The disease causes an over production of the hormone cortisol. Dogs lose body hair and they become voracious eaters and are prone to being overweight. If untreated the prognosis is an early death. Cushing's is a disease that last for the lifetime of the dog, whether treated or not. Thankfully, we had Embrace Pet Insurance. The Embracers were sympathetic to the cause and have paid every vet bill and have picked up the costs of expensive medications. Without Embrace, Pancho's life have been far shorter. Now, although he is constantly hungry, Pancho's body hair has regrown and he is living a normal dog life.

My dog cut open his foot, needed stitches, and then got an infection. Embrace was super helpful throughout the whole process and we got back all the money we expected.

I have the wellness plan and I highly recommend it. I get her flea/heartworm prevention, rawhides that help with dental cleaning, nail trim, and vaccines covered . The reimbursement is quick as well.
