Worth the price!

We have a very active dog that seems to get into injury trouble among other things. After $1500 of vet bills in one year, we opted for getting insurance. I researched a bunch and Embrace came out way ahead. I liked the fact that you can customize your policy to meet you needs. We opted for the 90% coverage (10% co-pay) and paid yearly so we got a separate discount. What makes this somewhat unique compared to others I’ve researched is the fact that they pay based on the actual bill, not customary charges. If you’ve ever had to battle with dental insurance (for humans), you’ll understand that that type of insurance pays customary charges which seem to be fees based off the 1980’s. No one charges that today and you get stuck paying the overage. Embrace will pay the bill at whatever level you’ve signed up for. I’ve been hesitant to write a review until I actually needed to use their service but have now met my deductible within 6 months and now I am receiving my first “refund” due to vet bills exceeding my deductible. Their service is quick on claim processing, I have not yet received my first reimbursement check but I’m told it was mailed today….One thing to note though is to make sure you review your paperwork properly from the vet before filing. Also, review what is “covered” from Embrace with each charge. I noticed an error on the Embraces part, called it to their attention and they quickly fixed it. Also, at first, I had to “debate” pre-existing conditions by requesting additional vet paper work and clarification in order for Embrace to fully understand the health history of our dog. They were more than willing to hear me out and adjusted accordingly. So far the service has been great and I’m recommending them. I did not rank 10 out of 10 yet for I really don’t know how long it will take for my check to arrive- I don’t want direct deposit. One more note, it’s important to do the math when considering what type of plan you want. Wellness was not a viable option for us to consider for the overall benefit but may be for you if you spread out your payments. So look at the different options carefully.

Embrace is a MUST DO!

I have had Embrace pet insurance for about 2 years now, and just upgraded this year to include the wellness plan. I wish every company would operate with the same customer service philosophy as I've been consistently impressed with every encounter I have had with anyone at this company. Filing claims is so easy as you received personalized claim forms, and I just set up direct deposit so the process is near effortless. I can't recommend Embrace enough!

10/10 Totally satisfied

I have had to submit two claims in the last several months for my dog. Both were handled promptly and to my complete satisfaction. This company cares about its customers. I recommend them highly to anyone who has a pet.

The absolute BEST pet insurance company out there

I have been with Embrace pet insurance for over 2 years. Our little Tiny Toy poodle had 2 specialized surgeries and 2 ER visits before she was a year old and we realized we needed help with these huge bills. After researching several pet insurance companies, Embrace was by far the best in terms of kindness trust, compassion and understanding about my pet, willingness to answer questions and never showed impatience when talking on the phone. All the agents are extremely kind. They explained their policy thoroughly and there were no hidden charges or confusing verbiage in their policy which could be misinterpreted. After the required waiting period before the policy kicked in, and I filed my first claim, there was no resistance or bad attitude that you often get when filing claims with insurance companies. They are friendly and act as if they really want to help you and are glad to honor their claims. They are very efficient and prompt in payment. I recently went through a very tough procedure for my little dog and they worked very hard to pre-certify in time, and the agents at Embrace actually showed compassion with understanding of what we were going through. This is an exceptional Pet Insurance Company and I have told many about it. I have another dog at home and I wish she wasn't too old to insure, because I would love to continue to support this company with my other pets.

First time with Embrace

I have had VPI insurance in the past. After review of Embrace and VPA I am so happy that I choose Embrace for my 10 week old 2 lb. Chihuahua/Pomeranian. I have never had such quick response when submitting the first vet visits for Zoey.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
Embrace Pet Insurance protects over 100,000 pets across the U.S. with nose-to-tail accident and illness protection.
