Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I can't tell you how many people I have recommended EMBRACE Pet Insurance to. I dog sit for a living, have worked at vets a big part of life and owned over 20 dogs. I now do not work for a vet and have moved to a new area so pay what everyone else does.. ouch! We decided to get pet insurance last year and I did exhausting comparisons. I chose EMBRACE because you can choose your deductible and coverage levels which impacts your monthly coverage. Other than that, the only real factor on price is your pets age. We recently had our sweet golden diagnosed with two brain tumors and traveled to UC Davis, California from Washington State for advanced radiation treatment, the only treatment available for this. It was expensive. Of course we had the stay at a local hotel and travel expenses, but the peace of mind EMBRACE gave me because they had already pre-certified the procedure is beyond what words can describe. I chatted with so many people in the waiting area whose pets were getting treatment that had no pet insurance.. well, they are going to look in to EMBRACE now! It is also comforting to know EMBRACE covers holistic/acupuncture treatments we also had done for our girl, the multiple consultations we had to do to find the best treatment path and will also cover hospice care and humane euthanasia at our home when the time comes (our last golden passed from a different cancer in September) and EMBRACE covered the at home euthanasia. (deductible had been met) she was able to pass calmly away at home in her own bed with her human and doggy family at her side. They sent us a sympathy card, made a donation in her name to a hospital that helps rescues and had a virtual candle lit for her. It just doesn't get any better than this folks. Pick the coverage you can afford, in our case it was for a major illness or injury (so a high deductible) and was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. The year before we had decided to get pet insurance we spent well over $10,000 trying to save two of our dogs, who both passed away no matter how hard we tried. we were left with broken hearts and big credit card bills. THANK YOU EMBRACE, I am more than happy to spread the word of your fairness and how you have helped us thru some very difficult times. I feel confident our relationship will continue as long as I am fortunate enough to have a fur-child by my side. I almost feel I should have some of your business cards to hand out at this point, I could sure use them.

I switched to Embrace when I got a new dog (rescued a Lab) 3 years ago. There has been a qualitative and pleasant upgrade in the customer service and breadth of coverage from my previous experiences.

In November 2016 I got a puppy.....and decided to check into dog insurance and boy oh boy was I lucky that I did.....fast forward 3 months and my puppy had to have surgery to the tune of over $5k! Thank God for Embrace Insurance. Not only did they cover the majority of the cost, they actually reimbursed me quickly. They communicated with me during the process and are TRUE to their word! I'm telling EVERYONE about the incredible coverage with Embrace! Do yourself a favor, sign up!!!! Don't wait until something bad happens, be prepared!

I honestly wouldn't be able to have a dog if it wasn't for Embrace, I just don't have the padding in my bank account to be able to bounce back from expensive medical surprises without incurring more credit card debt than I can handle. I am grateful that Embrace covers so much, and does so simply and efficiently. I also appreciate that it feels like a small enough company that if you write to someone they actually write you back themselves, and if you call to speak to a real human without having to wait on hold for a really long time.

I had worked with another company only to be given the "run around"; tried to get payments from them which were totally justified. No response, just took our monthly fees. Now they are in trouble with the State of Michigan Insurance system for this. The opposite experience with Embrace, recommended by USAA. Courteous, pleasant and pays on time. Great! 4 stars!
