Best decision we made for our Molly

My husband and I are so happy we made the decision to purchase Embrace Pet Insurance for our Labrador Retriever. Molly is now 2 1/2 years old and has had her insurance since she was 12 weeks old. We have used it several times with two of the claims being a true test. Molly is a very active strong girl and as a result from playing hard and coming down on her rear knee(s the wrong way, she required TPLO surgery in November 2016 and then she did the other knee in June of 2017. So we did give Embrace the true test. They were wonderful and Molly now has two very strong knees. Hopefully, Embrace will not be seeing claims from Molly for a long time but if she needs them, I am 100% sure they will be there for her. Thank you Embrace for doing what you said you would do.

Comassionate and helpful

Our Goldendoodle is 10 years old and we have had Embrace insurance all his life. He had minimal problems over the years but whenever we submitted a claim it was paid immediately within a very short time. This year when going in for what we thought was ACL surgery on his right stifle we were told after they opened him up that he had a rare cancer of the synovium and they had to close him up . At the time the vet recommended amputation. We subsequently had another opinion and then took him to Cornell for full workup. Well that was in February and it is July. He still has 4 legs. Still has the cancer but we were told it will remain confined to the knee and will not metastasize. Great news but all the doctor visits resulted in thousands of dollars and Embrace paid without question. I would recommend Embrace to anyone considering a pet.

Best thing I ever did

The best thing I ever did was get Embrace pet insurance for my Tibetan Terrier. He was diagnosed 2 years ago with lymphoma. Still going strong thanks to the very expensive treatments he has received. Embrace pays quickly, has wonderful customer service, policies are very easy to understand. I would advise anyone to get pet insurance for their pet. You never know when you will need it.

Horrible

Make sure your dog is in perfect health before buying this insurance. I mean nothing wrong. I have been with them for 3 months and after the first week had an emergency and had to take my teacup Yorkie to the emergency room. She was acting lethargic and not herself. They ran every test under the son and everything came back normal. The only test that could not be ran was a fecal because she is very very picky about what she eats and would not eat anything they gave her. I submitted my claim and it took 2 months for them to tell me it would be denied. They got hung up on the fact that for my vet the doctor and hospital are at two different locations and did not know how to pick up a phone and call or email their customer for clarification. In the end, my claim was denied because of a pre-existing issue (parasites) could not be ruled out. I then told that my dog would have to be parasites free for 12 months so basically every claim I have could be denied for the next year. Well then I would be paying for a policy I can't use. The dog was bought from the pet shop and came with parasites and in addition parasites are a normal ailment for dogs. I understand the whole pre-existing ailment clause but to have to wait 12 months for it to pass is a cop out and I rather pay out of pocket than pay another cent to a cop out policy. I will be taking my business elsewhere and before using them make sure your pet is in perfect health.
