They won't be there when you need them!
I have had Embrace for about a year on my 7 year old lab. When I initially started my plan I had a vet visit to confirm my dog had no issues such as hip and joint problems. She did not. She did have a bump on her front upper body area that when I first noticed I took her to two different vets and was told it was cosmetic so no need to remove or test. In fact on the Embrace Vet Check the doctor noted it so Embrace was aware of it. Recently she developed a growth on her muzzle and the doctor suggested removal and to screen to make sure it wasn't anything more serious. As she was going to be under anesthesia I elected to have her teeth cleaned and also remove the previous bump even though it was cosmetic and not hurting anything. Now, I knew the entire incident would not be covered because it did not meet the financial requirements but being that I was new to Embrace and how they worked I went ahead and uploaded my paperwork just to get a feel of how the process worked. The growth on her muzzle came back as benign but had it not I assume I would have been covered had it turned into something bigger and additional treatment was needed. Imagine my surprise when I get a letter stating that all future growths will not be covered because the one that they were previously aware of that was deemed cosmetic by two previous vets was not tested. Obviously, if my doctors had said remove and test it a year ago I would have but they saw no need. At this point I am just grateful I found out what a poor company they were before I needed them for something serious.
