Excellent Service and Great Pet Insurance Co!

I have had Embrace Pet Insurance for about 9 years for my 2 dogs. I am very happy with this company and have never had a problem with any of my claims. I highly recommend Embrace.

Best customer service experience i've ever had with a company. The follow through was exceptional. Their available to answer questions, my claim was processed quickly and there was no hassle at all. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for pet insurance. I am a VERY happy customer.

Miserable Experience

Dealing with Embrace is just a constant misery. I'm first told that a year of records is required (for dogs that were strays prior to mid-January 2017), then told all records from date I rescued in May, then all records since June. Of course, Embrace has every record in existence and all were provided when I purchased cover and for all 16-18 denials of every last claim -- properly or not -- since this policy was purchased. My vet has sent all records multiple times. Routine denial of claims at every turn. Every submission requires further documentation from vet. After months of sending every last record on rescues (including all records from foster), Embrace claims not to have medical history? Just horrid. Do not do business with Embrace. Embrace uses any excuse to delay processing or paying a claim. Anyone saying that any claim is processed quickly or without further flaming hoops must be dealing with another company.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
