Outstanding customer service

Embrace was one of the insurance companies recommended by our vet, and I'm so glad we chose them to cover our adopted 4-legged son. We had hoped we would only need it for wellness expenses, but Dewey suddenly developed luxating patellas in both rear legs at just over a year old, requiring surgery. So far, Embrace has processed our claims very quickly, and we were informed of our claims' status every step of the way. Also, any time I've contacted them with a question or to get some info, I've been impressed with how friendly and knowledgeable each person I've spoken with has been. Their customer service has been truly outstanding. I feel like they really are there to help!

Awesome

I have two English Bulldogs -- very expensive to maintain, without the Wellness feature of this policy I'd be in real trouble. It helps pay for heartworm meds, nail trims, routine shots, etc. I would not be able to provide the best care for my babies without Embrace.

Customer Service is declining

I have never had a negative or poor experience with Embrace since I started with them 3 years ago. But recently I feel that their customer service department has declined with the service for claims or even responding to emails (which I have sent and never heard back from) I recently went through a claim process for medication under illness and it took just about a month and numerous calls to get my reimbursement. I had to reach out after 15 days and was not contacted except for them stating they reached out to the vet 10 days ago, if I did not call and complain (which i contacted my vet and received the information with no problem to forward to them and they still said they had not received anything so I had to call again) they would have closed both my claims without checking up on them and trying to make contact and them seem to put it all in my lap saying they notified my that the vet did not respond and they did not give correct info to me in the beginning about how to submit my claim. CUSTOMER SERVICE and turn around time needs more attention.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
