Very happy withh quick reimbursement & response to clsims

Our Golden is close to 13 & having arthritis issues. So glad we have Embrace & the quick response to claims. Staff is always very helpful.

Embrace is the BEST!

I decided to insure my dog with Embrace Pet Insurance after reading many reviews on this site. I am so glad I did!! My lab is 2 years old and fell down our hardwood stairs and tore his CCL in his knee. I took him to the vet right away and was told to go see an Orthopedic surgeon because he most likely needed a TPLO procedure done. I didn't have time to submit a pre-authorization form for the surgery ($3500) but sent all the paper work in hoping that it would get covered. We are exactly 1 week from surgery and my claim was paid in full- check is on the way. WOW. AND when I called to talk to them last week about his procedure the first thing the lady asked me on the phone was if I was OK. She was more concerned about me and my dog than dollars and cents. Do yourself a favor and check Embrace out. Call them and see for yourself. Their customer service is top notch.

The insurance policy is unclear about what is covered and the verbage used in emails is misleading.

I took my dog in for his annual checkup, which I thought was covered. The exam was before the annual renewal of his policy. Ensure sent an email confirming that the visit was covered. I did not receive reimbursement for the claim, and inquired as to why. They said it is "covered, but you have maxed out the well check reimbursement for the year of your pet's policy." I realize as a former insurance defense attorney that there is a difference between "insured" and "covered". Their marketing is misleading and their language is imprecise.

Great Customer Service

The agent I worked with was very helpful and took me through the steps to submit a claim. I received compensation within a reasonable time. Very pleased with the service.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
