Coverage is good. But response time is a little slow. Preventive medicine and exams should be covered as part of the regular insurance.

superb, effecient service and coverage

They distinguish between different types of tumors
Our beagle has a history of lipomas. I had never gotten insurance for him before. Friends told me some insurance companies would not cover any mass on his body. To our surprise, doggie showed up with an adrenal tumor that's large and active. It produces cortisol, so he needs medication. Embrace covered our claims after receiving the vet's notes regarding doggie's history and the current tumor. Our first check is on its way.

It has been a blessing for us to have Embrace pet insurance for Charlie because they have covered so many of his health need.
Charlie was adopted at 5 years of age and had been a very healthy dog to that point. We still took our insurance at a friend's suggestion. We have been so grateful that we have had it since he has had three leg tendon surgeries, developed diabetes and recently cataracts requiring surgery. In all cases we have received the financial support from the insurance to enable us to go ahead with Charlie's medical needs. He now sees just fine after going blind. What a joy for all of us.

Monthly Cost
$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.
Coverage
You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.
Deductible
Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll.
New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active.
Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian.
Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
