Vet School Bill Surprised by Great Reimbursement and Prompt Reimbursement

We recently had to go to a vet school and our border collie heeded eye surgery. We were dreading the bill or estimate as we had heard some outrageous fees from others. Not only did we get reimbursed very fast, the hospital sent the forms in for us unlike our regular vet. We were so pleased that an expensive procedure only cost us a few hundred dollars! I would definitely recommend Embrace pet insurance to protect your costs for that most important fur baby in the family.

Don’t Get Embrace

This insurance is great if your pet never gets sick. The instant it does, they will run you around in circles trying to prove it was a pre existing condition. My cat needs surgery for her ears but I thought I was covered. Turns out because I got her ears cleaned as a kitten that she has a pre existing condition with her ears. Not only would they refuse to cover anything related to her ears but they refused to cover any of her vet bills since they said she had been to the vet too much. So they covered nothing. Junk insurance. Go elsewhere.

Excellent

The Embrace response was excellent. My policy covered the full scope of treatment from the initial diagnosis of a malignant tumor, removal of the tumor by a Board Certified Surgeon BCA DACVS, almost a month of radiation therapy and continuing post-surgery monitoring by an Oncologist. It's been over a year now since the initial diagnosis. Maggie is cancer free, in great physical condition, and turns 11 next month. Embrace provided coverage with no question, for the entire time . Based on my experience, I highly recommend Embrace for insurance coverage.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
