Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I have been with Embrace for close to two years and submitted my first claim, only to finally receive an email about his “medical history review” where they essentially pour over every chart and exclude all “pre-existing conditions.” Our dog had a tiny lump on his leg years ago that the vet said was likely just a fatty mass and was too small to biopsy. Fast forward to this past spring when the lump started to grow/harden and we found out it was cancerous and needed to be removed. For the $39 a month that I’ve been throwing away on this company, I could have paid for his medical bills instead, not to mention saved the hours we spent filling out all of their paperwork to submit claims. There is clearly a reason why you can’t leave reviews on their Facebook page.

We’ve got an old English bulldogge puppy and wanted insurance for her. Our ins company told us about Embrace. I’m so glad we went with them. Our pup had a really rare experience called dry drowning. She almost died, and it was a very scary experience. We took her to our local pet hospital then had to drive her to a bigger town with a bigger hospital over an hr away. She barely made it. The Drs made no promises that she’d make it. She was on oxygen for 5 days and has made a full recovery. I’ve got the Embrace app and sending them the bills we received was so amazingly easy. After everything that happened we quickly passed our deductible. Within a week Of sending them the info they needed we’d get our claim money. We had just been through so much it was very appreciated! Customer for life right here.

Recently, our 15 year old tabby had a medical emergency. All bills were paid timely. Prescription medication was also covered. It is not an exaggeration to say the cat survived thanks to the vet and Embrace.

I did a tremendous amount of research on pet insurance before deciding on Embrace. I have not been disappointed with my choice. I didn't have insurance with my previous dogs and it cost me a small fortune when cancer and spinal problems struck. I learned my lesson with my current dog. Embrace has covered everything from nasal surgery (I have a brachycephalic breed) to dermatological conditions to emergency vet visits. They are very upfront about what they will and will not cover. As long as that is understood, there isn't an issue with getting a claim approved. And starting a claim is extremely easy, which I also appreciate. I have told many people about Embrace and will continue to do so.
