Best pet insurance out there!

They cover pre-existing conditions after a year of no recurrence. They don’t monkey around with the premiums. They are super fast. Pay exactly what they agreed to Pay, and staff seems like family. So glad I chose Embrace over the others.

Big fish tries to get over on little fish

***LONG POST ALERT BUT WORTH THE READ*** I had a policy with Embrace for several years. My policy included 80% reimbursement with $300 deductible and covered wellness care also. Last year my dog got sick, vomiting frank blood and I took him to the emergency vet where he was diagnosed with gastric ulcers. I proceeded to take him to his primary vet for follow up and they confirmed the findings of the emergency vet. I gathered all of my documents, bills, and claim form, submitting those to Embrace. Embrace denied my claim citing "pre-existing" due to his kidney disease. I reached out to both the emergency vet and his primary vet to inquire. Both veterinarians confirmed the ulcers were NOT related to the kidney disease. I submitted those letters to Embrace and they still denied my claim. Eager to prove my case, I filed a 1st and 2nd appeal. Embrace submitted for a independent exam in which the examiner stated "the ulcers COULD be related to the kidney disease but could also be related to another disease with similar symptoms." Again they denied me as I argued their position is speculative. Wanna know what I did? I sued them in small claims court and I WON!!! The judge agreed that Embrace's position was speculative and not rooted in facts when two licensed veterinarians confirmed the illness to be unrelated to kidney disease. When I pointed out to the judge that Embrace had also violated their policy provisions, the judge awarded me 3% interest for the past 5 months. So do yourself a favor, SUUUUUUUUE! Insurance companies get over all the time because they know people don't want to spend the money to fight against them. The beauty about this pandemic, your court case can be held from the comfort of your living room. I give them a 3 star because I've had other claims that did not involve potential pre-existing injuries and those claims were paid without a problem. I'm honest & I'm fair.

If you love your pet Insure them

If you love your pet Insure them. Everyone says don't get pet insurance. For me I purchased for Catastrophic Illness and for the last 18 months that's exactly what my little guy has. Taking the financial burden off a furbabies illness has allowed us to make better decisions. And as our journey nears its end, I know I have had my little guy longer because I insured him and I picked a great company that pays my claims and didn't cancel us when we got diagnosed with Cancer. Fantastic people. Fantastic company. No words can ever express my gratitude for them.

I could not directly find a logon on…

I could not directly find a logon on the list under Embrace. Also, every time I tried to review the images of the vet bill, then go back to the form (prior to submission) I was thrown out. I'm sure these problems were partially due to my inexperience with your site.

Please protect your pet(s) with Embrace

We started with four pets insured with Embrace and over the years it has gotten down to two. On the rare occasion that I have had to contact Embrace, they are very responsive and helpful. Having been heavily involved in the rescue arena for some time, I recommend Embrace to my friends all the time and cannot impress on people how important it is to protect your pets with health insurance. I could go on and on . . .

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
Embrace Pet Insurance protects over 100,000 pets across the U.S. with nose-to-tail accident and illness protection. In addition to its pet insurance policy, Embrace offers a Wellness Rewards program to help cover the cost of routine veterinary care, grooming and training. Its Healthy Pet Deductible™, the industry’s first and only diminishing deductible feature, is included with every policy as standard. For every policy sold, Embrace donates $2 to a pet-related charity, as well as offering additional funding and support to shelters and other charitable organizations.
