I could not be happier with Embrace Pet Insurance. My yorkie was mauled by a pit bull and required emergency surgery. She had a ventral hernia (her intestines were ripped out of her abdomen) and necrotic bowel from the dog bite which required a bowel resection. It was an awful experience and very traumatic. I was so relieved when I remembered that I had a pet insurance policy. The representatives were very friendly and guided me through the whole process. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it took a little over a month to get reimbursed. I wish that happened faster. Overall, highly recommend. Accidents/Injuries are costly and pet insurance is a must!
We have had embrace for 4 years and never had needed it. My dog had emergency surgery recently and we weren’t even sure how embrace would cover. They were so fast in covering everything in our plan. Gave a clear explanation on why it wasn’t covered. Embrace saved us thousands of dollars and it was so easy to use the app and submit all the claims.
Embrace Pet Insurance is probably the most aggravating consumer product I have ever purchased. At a time when your pet child is severely hurt, and you've paid out thousands and thousands of dollars in vet bills, and you can't stop crying, some junior moron they've employed keeps demanding ever more proof that there were no loophole "previously existing conditions" that could get them out of paying my claims. They were mercilous and relentless in trying to do this. One girl wrote me an e-mail demanding records from a date a long time before I purchased their policy. I had those records available, so I sent them. The company sent me a notice two days later, saying those records were from before I purchased their policy!!!! Well, I knew that, so why in the world did their employee demand those records????? Actually, before I bought their policy, they claimed THEY would do the contacting of my vets, but I got many demands from them to contact my vets myself for information FOR THEM when they were digging for preexisting condition information. Liars! The FINAL STRAW was when one of their stupid underlings tried to claim a ridiculous preexisting condition would negate their paying nearly $6000 worth of cancerous bone claims because I had my vet freeze off a SKIN WART!!!!! Really!!!! After I threatened legal action and getting the state Insurance Commision involved, they FINALLY paid, with no apology, no anything for all they'd put me through. Just horrible. I still cry nearly every day, not because my sweet greyhound had a leg amputated, but because she only has a few months to live. Embrace pays for her chemo therapies, but these rotten creeps sent me notice that they will NOT be paying for her some of her sister's future problems due to made-up preexisting conditions!! Her greyhound sister is covered on the same policy, and although I have made NO CLAIMS for her, they went right ahead and did a major investigation on this dog's medical records WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!!!! This company is UNBELIEVABLY HEARTLESS.
