Best pet insurance ever!

I got Embrace for my Greyhound Puppy, the setup was very easy and I like the iPhone app. Well a few months into having the insurance my puppy had an accident and he chipped 2 of his teeth which required dental surgery and it was almost $2000!I submitted a claim through the iPhone app and they reimbursed 90% of the bill! I was very happy at how easy the claim process was and how quickly the claims adjuster reached out to me. I will definitely be staying with Embrace pet insurance :)

Fair so far, easy to contact

I've carried Embrace Pet Insurance for 10 years for one of my dogs. Didn't have a claim for 7 or 8 years. More recently he's been to the vet more often and we've received benefits. Company seems easy to work with, pays claims quickly and has been fair so far. Easy to reach by phone as well. I'm still hoping our rates don't increase a lot, but it's hard to predict the future. Be careful with dental benefits they are limited. Policy is clear but I was a bit confused by it.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
