Everything is pre-existing

I have found that this company tries to make everything a pre-existing condition so they do not have to pay. When they denied my claim, my vet wrote to them and said that the current issues have absolutely nothing to do with my 2 year old dogs pre-existing condition (which I have never even tried to file a claim for) and they still denied the claim. I will be looking for new insurance for my dog.

They cover a lot of pet medical…

They cover a lot of pet medical conditions for a good price. If you are with USAA you get a discount and priority response when you call. Can't beat it.

The best care for our baby!

Embrace makes it easier to upload and submit for my babygirl's claims. It's great to know that she is covered when any emergency arise and also with her non-emergent appointments. I'll never regret getting her insurance. I just wished I'd done it sooner.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
