Decade of pet insurance experience

Ive devoted my life to training service dogs and got a Maters Degree in Canine Life Sciences with an emphasis at Bergin University of Canine Studies. Ive experienced several pet insurers. VPI only coverd 50%. Healthy Paws doesnt pay the vets examination fee so it discourages you from getting canine healthcare as many dont have money to pay the vet on top of their ever increasing premiums. Trupanion wouldnt cover my insured dogs surgery if he wasnt neutered after age 1. All the above are DISGUSTING! Then came Embrace. This company restored my faith in an insurance company. Ive NEVER had a claim denied. When I transitioned away from Horrible Healthy Paws to embrace...Embrace pre certified acceptance to eliminate any coverage vulnerabilities..pre existing excuses to deny claims in the future. EMBRACE is THE company you owe your canine kid to go with! I share this with the love of dog. Ps There are places in hell for a health insurance company that doesnt cover a doctor examining your loved one aka UNHEALTHY PAWS that claims to be number one though just sued class action for raising coverage costs so unrealistically.

Any time I have ever called Embrace I…

Any time I have ever called Embrace I have had a god experience the people that I speak with are knowledgeable and friendly and willing to explain if I don't understand. I am a USAA member and of course I went with their recommendation for Embrace. We have had Embrace for our fur babies since 2016 and many improvements have been made for the processes for claims and EOB.

They'll penalize your pet for so much as a sneeze

Unless your pet is brand new to the world, the insurance is a scam and not worth it. My cat Lucina had to go to the emergency room - twice - this summer because of bladder stones that have developed. I spent thousands of dollars on her diagnosis and treatment, and Embrace refused to cover any of it. Why? Because in January, she had a UTI. Apparently because we never did the tests to rule out bladder stones then, they won't cover bladder stones we know she has now. It's one thing to say you won't cover things she's definitely been diagnosed with before, that makes sense - but to not cover something because she might've had it? Come on. I ended up cancelling my policy because I might as well spend the money directly on treatment rather than feeding it to a company that won't cover anything my cat actually needs. Thanks for nothing.
