Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

Our experience was poor with Embrace. The issue is an overly broad interpretation of any symptom or complaint being used to declare any diagnosis as preexisting. Our 1 dog had been noted by a conscientious vet as being witnessed to lick her vulvar area. She later suffered a urinary tract infection many months later which was excluded from coverage. I don’t know of any dogs that don’t lick in that area so therefore UTI s and their side effects should just be excluded up front. Essentially if you have a conscientious vet you will be left uncovered for years to come. On the issues they occasionally covered they did a passing job. For the most part it is like not having insurance

We bought a policy in 2016 for a puppy who was born late 2015. After the processing period, our puppy lived seven years. Sadly too short for us but Embrace was there every step of the way! We just purchased a policy for our new puppy. Process took like ten minutes. Wouldn’t be without it.

One would think that having insurance will ease the concern of having to pay medical bills. My dog was throwing up and having diarrhea with no other health concerns. After many months of trying to get the bill covered, it is considered a pre existing condition even if 10 months have passed. Can you imagine? Dogs get into everything. You have to wait 12 months before your animal becomes ill.

Embrace has always come thru for me with any claims I have had. Even today I referred a person to you while in the Vet office for well check and well care. I start googling so I hope she signed up. It has been one full year and I have only happy tales (or is that “tails”)? Thanks for being there during this tough economic times.
