So far so good

So far so good! Only been a customer for 5 months, but have unexpectedly had to make a claim for one of my pups. Not only are claims processed within days, any time I've had a question or needed advice, every customer service agent has been friendly and very knowledgeable.

Our standard poodle Max has Addison's…

Our standard poodle Max has Addison's disease and needs monthly cortisone shots. I have found, over the last seven years of making monthly claims that the Embrace website is very easy to use. I have also found the whole organization efficient and fair. I have had very few problems, but if I do, they are quick to respond.

I have been an Embrace customer since…

I have been an Embrace customer since 2012. This is the first time filing an illness claim. They have approve all submitted claims so far. Last week I had to schedule my dog for an endoscope and biopsy. My dog’s protein level is almost nonexistent and b12 is low. He has lost 10 lbs since November. I needed a pre certification done quickly. The rep that I spoke with not only submitted the claim for me but put a rush on it. Got a decision by the end of that day. This company is awesome!

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
