Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

My dog was seen at a vet for a possible ear infection on 12/4/2021. He was treated and released. My dog was taken to the vet on 2/18/2023 and I was told he is not covered because there is a 12 month waiting period. The gaps between the 2 vet visits is approximately 15 months which is much longer than the 12 month waiting period. Embrace is saying he wont be eligible for coverage until 2/18/2024. Also, my dog has a small mass on his chest his whole life which is roughly the size of a dime. This mass has remained the same size his whole life. Embrace rep, told me since we dont have exact explanation of the cause of the mass, my dog is no longer covered for any time of cancer. In all, avoid Embrace pet insurance at all cost. They lie, they deceive, and they dont uphold their policies. I dont understand how they are still in business.

So Far my experience with Embrace has not been great. We were switching from another insurance provider and so i knew ahead of time to submit my pets entire history so they could get all of that info situated before we needed to make any claims. I was assured this would speed up the process later. Nope, I provided it all, jumped through all of the hoops and they are still dragging their feet with open claims from 6 months ago. Can't say that I would recommend - maybe that will change in the future but so far every interaction with Embrace has been pretty crumby. Per your response below, no one has responded back to me yet despite you noting that they have.

I purchased both the wellness and major medical plan for my new puppy. I knew he would need neutered in 6 months so I figured he would more than use his wellness benefits. Unfortunately, he ate a Barbie shoe and had to go yo the emergency after hours clinic. The cost gor this visit alone was over $800. All reimbursements for all visits were easy. Submission was easy, responses timely and reimbursements based on policy provisions were right on point. Needless to say I have been very satisfied with the voverage.

i had a 21 year old cat who died in January. I called Embrace to cancel her maintenance insurance (I could only get maintenance because I didn't insure her before the age of 15.) My vet come over to my house once a week for several years and I never submitted a claim. After my beloved cat died, I called Embrace to cancel her insurance. I spoke with Rachell, and asked her about backdated claims. Between Rachell and Tevana and my vet sending those years of statements, all of my claims over those years have been paid! I am SO grateful for Embrace. Thank you. And I am SO grateful that my other younger cats are insured by Embrace.
