If you've taken your pet to the vet before, Embrace is likely not for you. My expectation was clear pre-existing conditions would be covered but had no idea how one-sided their rulings would be with an intentionally cumbersome appeal process. Had your dog in for the vet to look at a benign cyst a year ago? Embrace's stance: "All types of cancers are permanently ineligible for coverage" Our pet recently was cut on his stomach incidentally by the groomer and Embrace determined that an ear infection a year prior made it ineligible since it was related to the "derm." We were highly dissatisfied with their claim process and their support team.

I've filed numerous claims and all have been denied. Most recently I was sent an email stating all of the pre-existing conditions. One of which was vomiting and tartar build up. Literally there's an excuse for everything. I was then provided the terms and conditions again. I would have been better off saving the monthly $70 to put towards my pup's needs.

The process to submit a claim and receive reimbursement was very simple and straightfoward now that everything is electronic and can be done online. It is no longer needed to bring phsyical forms to the Vet office for claims. I submitted a claim for my cat's ER visit and had my claim processed and the reimbursement sent back to be in a week's time.
