Smooth claims process

Smooth claims process. Was nervous to submit my first claim but I was pleasantly surprised.

DO NOT do business with Embrace

DO NOT do business with Embrace. A different company American Modern Home Insurance owns it and handles the claims. Its adjusters will do whatever it takes to deny substantial claims like mine of $3,800. They like to stretch the “pre-existing condition” clause. Look at some of the other one-star reviews. They don’t apparently consult with veterinarians. After a routine teeth cleaning in February 2023, my cat Jenny almost died because she had become completely incapable of chewing food. We took her back to her original vet, two emergency vets, and a vet neurology specialist. They decided it was a neurological problem that was preventing her from chewing properly even though she tried. They said something happened during the cleaning such as too much anesthetic. We had to feed her through a tube for more than two weeks until she very slowly regained her ability. Jenny was given to me at 6 years old. I knew she had never had her teeth cleaned and that this was important to do routinely. I told the vet who looked in Jenny’s mouth and said nothing other than that the cleaning would be scheduled. It turns out the vet put in her notes that Jenny had gingivitis. This was before I got Insurance. I would have had the cleaning even there had been no gingivitis. Embrace denied all claims based on this even after two appeals during which they received three letters from the vets involved stating gingivitis had nothing to do with the problem. How could it? It was an accident or mistake that occurred during the cleaning. ------------- Here is my reply to your reply. The gingivitis was not medically related to my cat's neurological injury. That is what two of my vets told you. There was an injury to her nerves suffered during the teeth cleaning. The only connection to the gingivitis was that it preceded the cleaning chronologically. There was no medical causation. The only way i will be satisfied is if you pay me the $3,800 you rightfully owe us.

First time pet parent!

Filing a claim was very easy with Embrace! I’m a first time pet parent with no previous experience. My little love required emergency surgery to remove a large quantity of gauze. I was able to file two claims - two separate procedures - with ease. The checks arrived in my mailbox- in one envelope- within five days of filing. I’m very impressed with the ease of the whole claim process.

Heartless Money Grab

As soon as my pet got older and developed an illness they refused to cover her care. When I called to inquire about the issue they compared my pet to a car… a car! Not a living breathing animal. They said insurance was only there to operate under the assumption that my dog was ‘functioning’ correctly as if she doesn’t have health needs. They are a heartless scam.
