If you have a pet, get this pet insurance

I was having second thoughts of getting a pet insurance since most of my friends who have pets do not have one, but I gave it a try since this is my first time getting a pet. My Ragdoll cat started throwing up and was not eating and pooping for 4 days. We took him to ER animal hospital and the bill was ridiculously expensive. But I am so glad I have Embrace. This really came in handy. I got couple of my friends to sign up after telling them my experience.

It is always easy to submit a claim and receive reimbursement. I would give 5 stars if my rates didn't go up every year after 12 years with the company.

I have a multi-pet household and policy…

I have a multi-pet household and policy for their health needs. A young adopted feral kitty mother (she adopted us) and her three now grown kittens born at home. All had perfect health until this year when our 2 1/2 year old grown kitten developed pancreatitis. Urgent care, emergency hospital, regular vet hospitalization; Embrace was there for all of it. Kitten now recovered and doing well. I Thank Embrace every day for that.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
