Terrible experience

Terrible experience! They are not what they advertise. Submitted a claim on April 27th and it took them until May 31st to give us a decision. The claim was denied. Our puppy has no pre-existing conditions. We took him to an emergency vet appointment after his paw was accidently stepped on (the Vet said that in her note). Claim was denied because lameness of a paw (the diagnosis) was considered orthopedic and not an accident which would have resulted in them having to pay the claim.

I love Embrace Pet Insurance!

I am glad I switched to Embrace Pet Insurance. The Wellness Rewards premium is not costly, and for the first time, Beauty's parasite test and Interceptor heartworm medication were 100% covered!

My refund for well care check up came…

My refund for well care check up came quickly however for a medical treatment I felt like I had to jump through hoops to get reimbursed. My veterinarian office had to send records twice and uploading forms did not work well at all.

I was to receive 2 partial reimbursement checks. I only received one. I will be researching other pet insurance companies and quotes.

Claims and processing are seamless!

Claims are easy to submit, and processing is quick and seamless. After meeting my deductible, Embrace covered my recent urgent care visit without issue. I am really happy with my policy and with Embrace’s customer service/communication.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
