A much slower resolution

This experience with another of my furbabies, Lilly Rose, took a lot more time than my first, with my Vinnie and it was a small fraction of Vinnies claim. I'm not sure where the problem was (whether the vets office, Embrace Insurance, or a combination of both). But I'm glad it's finally resolved. Thank you so much.

They make you feel stupid, then they might pay

First, I will start with this. Embrace DID end up paying. But it took 45 days, 5 emails, several calls to my vet's office, and hours of my time. During this time, they sent me multiple emails detailing how everything was taking them longer because they had to determine if my dog had a pre-existing illness. My dog (who is very healthy) had been insured with Embrace since 9 weeks; had his first vet visit at 10 weeks; had all his shots and vaccines by 16 weeks; and then once the vet was sure my dog was fine at 16 weeks had had his full healthy puppy exam. But according to Embrace, even though my dog was now 2 1/2 and had fulfilled every waiting period there was, they had to restart my waiting period because my dog was supposed to have had his full exam at 12 weeks and now they had to restart my waiting period from a month later. The whole thing was ridiculous. Their emails made me look like *I* was the stupid person for not following the rules and like somehow their signup process had made it very clear what I was supposed to do. But even when you read the fine print, (I always do) I could find nothing that stated my early visits to the vet were insufficient. If you DO decide to go with Embrace, here's my warning. Make sure your vet does a thorough exam with complete S.O.A.P. notes on your dog *as soon as possible* and sends this exam to Embrace. Then make sure Embrace sends you WRITTEN confirmation that this fulfills their requirements of a complete exam. Make sure it shows that Embrace finds NO pre-existing conditions. Because otherwise, Embrace relies on slick wording and legal loopholes to find pre-existing conditions. And if they can't find them, they still take forever to reimburse you and they put you and your vet thru a ton of work.

Embrace took good care of Nina's…

Embrace took good care of Nina's medical invoices. They are the best and their customer service is fantastic. My Nina passed away on 05.02.2024 and the gentleman that helped me did a great job to assist my needs regarding uploading the final claim. Just an awesome staff. Again thank you for taking care of my Nina's needs. Rosie

Claims was pretty seemless

Claims was pretty seemless. I submitted the paperwork. It took about two weeks. I’m glad I had insurance for sure!
