It took a couple of months to get all of our pet’s medical information to be submitted, reviewed and approved.
Once that occurred so far we have been happy with the submittal process and reimbursement timeline.
Premium doubled from $89 to $183. Only had 1 claim since beginning of starting the insurance over 5 years or more.My pet is outstanding health…no reason for that much of an increase!
I recently had the opportunity to make my first three claims with Embrace Pet Insurance and wanted to share my experience. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the service, though there were a few bumps along the way.
From the outset, I had numerous questions, but thankfully, all were answered by the customer service representatives, who were consistently helpful and pleasant. It's clear that Embrace values customer service, and that made the initial stages of the process much more manageable.
One of the challenges I faced was the process of getting all the soap notes and medical records into their system. I received a barrage of emails from Embrace, where I was CC’d on communications between the company and each vet office I visited, requesting detailed medical records. This was somewhat overwhelming.
Despite this, the vet offices I worked with were incredibly responsive. I called each one to confirm that they had indeed sent the required documents back to Embrace. To streamline the process, I eventually asked the vets to send the files directly to me so I could upload them myself via Embrace's portal. This feature was a lifesaver; without it, I’m not sure how I would have managed to get all the necessary documentation submitted.
After a series of emails and phone calls, my claims were finally approved. It was a relief to see that all the effort paid off, and I was very happy with the outcome. I'm hopeful that any future claims will be processed more smoothly now that I'm familiar with the system. Of course, I hope I won’t need to make another claim anytime soon, but it's comforting to know that Embrace has a supportive customer service team and a functional claims process.
Overall, while there were some logistical hiccups, my experience with Embrace Pet Insurance has been positive, and I would recommend their services to other pet owners.
I can't think of anything to complain about. I will update this review in the future if that changes. I found Embrace pet insurance while I was researching what types of coverage options my kitten would have before I got her from the breeder. Unfortunately, she got pinkeye from her mother and had to go to the vet. Due to their policies, Embrace sees it as a pre-existing condition so they won't cover it until 2025 for me. Luckily, I got some OTC Terramycin for it. Otherwise, Embrace pretty much covers all else. I get 90% reimbursement on her accident coverage and I got the maximum amount on her Wellness coverage (she was ~3 months when I got her so I had to think of vaccines, spaying, etc). My reimbursements have never been late. Customer service takes a little while to get ahold of. The 24/7 TeleVet service is nice (only available on the web).
I filed my first claim for my cat two months ago. Knowing that with the first claim, insurance will need a full history and Embrace was honest and said that would make processing the claim take a bit longer, I knew what to expect. Once it was paid, it was accurate and just the amount I expected. I was quite satisfied.
