Never filed a claim/monthly rate doubled

I've been a customer for 3 years and never filed a claim because my puppy has been healthy so far. In that time my monthly payment has more than doubled. It started out at 51 now it's going to be $103 a month?? I've never filed a claim. I would highly recommend looking at other pet insurance companies as they have the same coverage for far less.

Good Pet Insurance

Had Embrace for 3 years and they covered treatments needed for podermatitis and an emergency urinary unblocking procedure, saving me a significant amount of money. Reimbursement process is straightforward and usually completed within 2 weeks. The couple times I had to reach out to customer service, I was met with friendly agents.

Avoid this company

Avoid this company. This is not a pet insurance company, this is a "pay us and we find a loophole to avoid paying" company. The experience was a total disaster for me, every time there was a legitimate claim the company tried a way to not pay. For every single small claim they had to re-review the whole pet's history - years of history. And you as a customer are paying for their inefficiency. They find loopholes for most of the claims, or delay processing of the claim so that it past due the "deadline", and then they have another reason to not pay. And in rare occasion when they pay, there is another scam. If you had a claim for say $500/year, they will jack up the premium upon renewal to recoup that $500. The premiums are not based on probabilities like with health insurance or home insurance, you are penalized by making a claim.

We first purchased Embrace insurance…

We first purchased Embrace insurance for our Golden Retreiver, Walter at 4 mos. He is now 11. Late last year he was diagnosed with lymphoma. He has been in Chemotherapy. Embrace has paid chemo claims on time. Yet, today we received a notice stating our 2024 policy has “maxed out” and that “there was no need to submit claims until April 2025! The policy year begins and ends in April. There is a $1000 Deductible. There is no conceivable way we “maxed” out our policy. I just tried to call Embrace and received this notice: [Do to extreme weather conditions our employees are having difficulty traveling. Therefore our office is very short staffed. Wait times are at least 1 hour] “Extreme weather” it’s July! Where are these people on the dark side of the moon? If you’re planning on purchasing insurance I would double check this outfit. Something is not kosher!
