The claim process was so simple and…

The claim process was so simple and efficient. I filled out an online form and uploaded some documents. Both of my claims were processed and approved in the same day. The money was in my account 3 business days later. I had a question about a small item that was excluded (prescription food while in hospital) and was given a satisfactory answer. I just filled out an online form and received the reply via email.

Extremely disappointed with this…

Extremely disappointed with this company. I was told I would get reimbursed within 7 days. They are trying everything they can to not pay me back. It’s been over a month now since my claims were filed. I wasn’t provided with any updates on my claims. PSA: THEY DO NOT COVER PREVENTATIVE MEDICATION. (Flee and tick medication even though it is a prescription). That would have been nice to know. Embrace does not provide any updates for me. They keep telling me “we reached out to your vet for more information.” I called my vet and they said Embrace never called or emailed them. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. I WILL be switching at the end of the year. Terrible.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
