How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Vetco Vaccination Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I'm a trucker and needed my Yorkie vaccinated before I could get his grooming done. I made an appointment at the Vetco Clinic here and must have stated 4-5 times that I had to get to another store to get his grooming done today, but came here for the shot. My point, at the time, was to point out that I should have just been able to do all of it at one location instead of having to drive across town to two. Well, imagine my absolute frustration when the grooming location tells me I can't get the service there because there is a mandatory 24 hour waiting period after a vaccine is given. I'm sooo glad I drove my big rig 30 minutes across town in order to discover this.

Took my dog here for a heartworm test. Staff was friendly. Only thing I was confused about was the vet didn't talk to me about my dog after the test. She didn't seem like she wanted to talk to me either. Instead, the vet assistant gave me a "receipt" paper that stated the overall summary of the visit plus the vet's notes. It was a bit odd considering I had to find out my dogs overall condition on a paper rather than for her to directly discuss with me about it. But at least they got the job done.
