How to Save Money at Pet Check Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I honestly don’t know why it’s taken me this long to write a review because PetCheck has been nothing but amazing in the 8 years we’ve been coming here! They’ve cared for all my dogs and cats. every visit reminds me why I trust them so much. The vet always listens, never rushes me, and even when I’m stressed or in panic mode, they take the time to explain everything and calm me down. Most importantly I love that they truly care about the animals, not just the money. Other vets have given me the runaround or tried to charge me thousands, but not here. They’re compassionate and work with my budget and still keeps my pets healthy and happy. My pets love the vets assistants and they always shower my pets with love! They’re affordable, honest, and compassionate and I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else. I make sure all friends and family bring their pets here and they can second this! Thank you Petcheck our fur family couldn’t do it without you please never change!

Their prices are definitely reasonable and the Doctors are very attentive and kind. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is because I witnessed two of the staff members (one in particular) treat/talk to the white lady at the front in ways that aren't appropriate for the work place. Even When in the exam room I could hear them in the back trash talking her. I'm sure they think people in the rooms can't hear but that one girl with the glasses voice carries. Wait until you get home to be a mean girl. It's unprofessional to treat your coworkers in that way even if you don't like them.

🎰🎰🎰🎰🎰 Very practical, local animal clinic. Good staff, good prices for vet exam. $35 (tax included) 11.2025 I am so glad that I went this place at the first try. Jack pot! Recommend especially if you adopt a pet like me and your adoption place requires vet exam document, this is where to go.

I do not recommend coming here if your pet has any complex issues going on. I come here for sick appointments and just feel rushed out. I feel like them being walk in only makes them way too busy to have time to care. I think they should just stay a vaccine clinic only. I did not like that they don’t place catheters in surgery patients, doctors don’t talk to you after the surgery either. My cat had an underlying condition that was flaring up her mammary glands. They told us to get her spayed and never gave me any plan or helped me with what to do next. They also don’t call you the next day to see how your animals doing either again I just think they’re way too busy being a walk-in clinic to do the things that make you feel like they actually care. But, they are fine as a vaccine clinic only like I said. And yes I know they are “low cost” so you get what you pay for. I ended up taking my cat to an aaha accredited clinic instead to fix her other underlying condition and was worth every penny.
