I have had a good experience every time I visit. The staff treats you and your pet with respect. Dr. Rennie has been patient, informative, and empathetic. I used to change vets often but I now only go to Dr. Rennie.

Dr. Meagan Rennie, or her assistant, overprescribed medications for profit despite me clearly stating I still had unused stock and only needed a week's worth as a precaution. On my second visit, she prescribed 90 20mg- prednisone pills, even though the dosage was reduced from 4 to 3 per day. On my first visit, it was 75 pills. She also charged $30 for an unbranded E-collar that broke within three days. The material failed easily and created a sharp edge near my dog’s head, posing a safety hazard when the collar was supposed to aid recovery and prevent injury.

I just wanted to express my deepest gratitude to the team at gulfgate animal hospital for their kindness, fair pricing, and exceptional care. So far, I’ve brought my senior dog in for allergy issues and most recently for a dental procedure. I was genuinely shocked at how affordable their dental services were—especially compared to the other quotes I received. My dog had 11 teeth removed, and thanks to their skill and attention, she’s now healthy and doing great. The staff was incredibly patient with me, even when I had what felt like a million questions. They took the time to explain everything clearly, including what to expect after surgery and which signs to watch out for. Their hospitality and professionalism truly made a stressful situation so much easier. I can’t thank them enough!

We took our dog to Gulfgate Animal Hospital for pain in her leg. Dr Maxie charged us about $1300 to keep her there for about 3 days but after 3 days she could not tell us what was wrong with the dog and ask for $400 more at which point we realized we should take her somewhere else. We showed up at the time she requested we pick her up. 30 minutes later Dr Maxey sent her out like this. The dog had no open wounds brought there. When I looked at our dog in shock the attendant asked if there was something wrong as if this was a common thing. Dr Maxey did not show herself and did not explain what happened. They did not even offer towels for the dog dripping blood from her abdomen knowing she was about to be transported by a vehicle. We used this vet for over 10 years and trusted them even though on another occasion the same dog was diagnosed with heartworms. Since their treatment was so expensive we took her somewhere else only to be told that she did not have heartworms. At one point Dr Maxey offered euthanization for the dog even though claiming she did not know what was wrong with the dog. Upon arrival at the new vet the doctor diagnosed the problem and treated her in less than 15 minutes but Dr Maxey could not do it in 4 days. Do not trust these ppl. This review was previously posted but they somehow got it removed so it was reposted on Yelp where reviews are verified. PAY ATTENTION TO THESE REVIEWS IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG!

Excellent place! Dr. Palmer takes time to explain everything to you. I have been taking my pets here threw the last 25 plus years. Even though the other vets are good here, I prefer Dr. Palmer if a surgery needs to be done because not only does she own the place she has the most experience.
