I brought my lab and golden retriever for a walk in visit and Dr Reid and the technician Dennis were absolutely amazing! Dr Reid is patient and attentive. It was the first time a vet mentioned medication to my 11 yo lab to manage daily arthritis pain. Most vets in the past have only recommended daily supplements making us think it is a common issue. I am happy to have found this place!

This vet offered to work with CAP (charity for animals) for a free animal checkup but because I adopted on a weekend, I missed the 72 hour window by 6-7 hours (they’re closed on Sundays!). The mgr told me he could see my pet but “for a fee” and my response is, “Why on earth would I pay you one cent for any service, if you can’t manage to maintain your word in the beginning?!” (I’m good - I will find a reputable vet.) My advice to the consumer is to find a veterinarian that actually cares about the community.

Central Animal Hospital literally saved my cat’s life. They had great follow through. Everyone from the front desk staff to vet techs, groomer, and the vets themselves are truly wonderful, outstanding, compassionate, great with dogs and cats, very knowledgeable, great with people, above and beyond in their helpfulness and all at reasonable prices. After each appointment, they called the next day to check on my cat. They stabilized his health and turned it around for the better and followed up to ensure he stayed in good health. This is my go to vet hospital and back up to my regular vet for whenever my pet needs more specialized care and expertise. They also do regular pet grooming and regular vet visits too. Truly a gem for pet care in Houston.

We recently moved to the area and my dog wasn’t handling the move well, so we had to find a vet pretty quickly. They were so accommodating at getting us seen, and every person we’ve interacted with has been so kind. My pup ended up with an infection also that needed a tooth extraction, so within three months she’s been I think four times (including being put under for the extractions), and I couldn’t be happier with this veterinarian office. I’ve never felt rushed, and the doctors actually take time to talk to you about your concerns. All of the techs are animal lovers and treat my Kodi so well! We love CHAH!

*Our previous vet called us and requested that we remove the negative review we left for their office...they did not want to discuss the fact that they didn't diagnose our cat properly they just wanted the review deleted* We have been here at CHAH for 2 weeks now and we cannot say enough good things about this facility! The vet we were at for the last 3 years spent 10 minutes with our cat who was lethargic and not eating and said, "It's lymphoma you should think about euthanasia is that something you're ok with doing today?" No testing, no offer of any other treatment they just wanted to know if we could euthanize immediately. We were obviously shell shocked and immediately called CHAH for a 2nd opinion. They saw us immediately less than 24 hours after we called them and Dr. Faulkner and staff were AMAZING! She took the time to walk us through a tentative diagnosis of FIP (feline corona virus) and gave us a solid plan for testing and treatment and they worked a miracle on Twix! They were very up front with pricing and made sure we knew that this was treatable but still touch and go because our baby had been sick for a couple of weeks thanks to our old vet dismissing his symptoms. The FIP treatment is brand new and we are so incredibly grateful that we landed with Dr. Faulkner and everyone at CHAH because they care about staying up to date on veterinary medicine! They taught us how to provide supportive care at home with fluids and nausea meds along with the groundbreaking FIP meds and they are constantly making sure he is doing well which means the world to us! Our baby is up and walking around and playing again and we are extremely positive about his continued recovery! We understand we still may lose him but CHAH has given him a fighting chance! Thank you CHAH!!
