How to Save Money at Beechcrest Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Dr. Hassan is truly one of a kind. I have a Bengal who requires very specific knowledge of the breed& I don’t trust anyone w/her care except Dr. Hassan. Recently, I rushed her in because I was convinced she had broken her paw as she was bleeding, walking oddly& I panicked. Dr. Hassan had me bring her in first thing in the morning& by that afternoon she was already home, safe &healing (of course we followed ALL instructions &after care recommendations) & she went back to being her dramatic princess self within a couple of days. What turned out to be a simple broken nail was handled with so much care, especially w/me freaking out. I’ve also brought my puppy here&after many trials& errors, we finally found the perfect solution for my dog’s severe skin allergies. The improvement has been incredible! My family& friends have also entrusted him w/their pets,& that alone speaks volumes. We drive 45 minutes to come to this clinic not just bc the prices are honestly almost unbeatable compared to Katy, but because Dr. Hassan’s love for animals is so real& so consistent. If you’re looking for a vet who is knowledgeable, honest, compassionate, and truly puts your pet first, Dr. Hassan is the one. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I’ve been bringing my cats to Dr. Hassane since 2019, and I can’t say enough good things about this clinic. As a breeder, I’m in their office practically every month, and I’ve seen firsthand how much care and dedication goes into their work. Dr. Hassane has saved the lives of several of my cats over the years, and he also takes care of all of our spays and neuters. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable and caring, but he truly has the best prices in town and helps save me money where he can, which shows he has his clients’ best interests at heart. He’s the coldest in town the one I trust completely with my cats. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a vet who combines compassion, affordability, and excellent care.

They are the best! I Have been coming here for the last 10 years for check ups on my dog shadow. They have been very empathetic and take care of him and show him so much love every time. I live in Katy and drive to this specific place as they are very fair on their pricing and the staff and doctors are amazing. Shadow was having constipation and I called in and they told me what to do to help him over the weekend. After I took their advice he was doing slightly better and then I came in to get him seen. They saw him immediately and told us what was going on and gave us some medication for him. I don’t know what miracle they performed but he’s been doing so much better just a few hours after I left. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you!

Dr. Hassan & his staff are wonderful! I have been a very loyal and frequent client for many, many years! They take exceptional care of my Poms & of me as well. Dr is never pushy & is cautious & always tries to treat the symptoms first. I have received excellent care and wouldn’t go anywhere else! Highly recommend!♥️

1 star is more than generous. I called and I was told they could take care of my dog as long as I made it before 5:30. I get there at 5:10 and then was placed in a room and was told “we will see what we can do because we close at 6” as a pet owner I took offense to that because what do you mean you’ll see what you can do?. Fast forward they take my dog for 5 minutes and come back and the doctor starts saying a bunch of nonsense. Me as a concerned pet owner I asked a question, “did you ensure you checked him out properly because the perception when I got the room was that the priority was that you guys closed at 6” and the doctor began to raise his voice and get passive aggressive with me. I remained calmed and spoke in a calm tone and reiterated that it’s just a question and I stated the situation when I first got the room and he begins to call the front desk associate to apologize to me in an aggressive manner, I stated to the doctor that I’m not asking for an apology all I asked was a question, you’re the doctor you’re the one in the healthcare profession, i am your client who is worried about my pet who simply asked a question for reassurance and what i got was a loud mouth doctor, passive aggressive and careless disrespectful behavior. I absolutely do NOT recommend this place to anyone who loves and cares for their pets, you will NOT receive proper care nor proper customer service etiquette. 0/5 stars, truly disappointed..
