Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Over the last 17 years I've worked with at least 5 DVM practices in the area for one reason or another, and Colonial Heights Animal Hospital is my favorite. This is not the cheapest vet in the area but the service they provide is superior to most. If you are willing to pay a little bit more for premium treatment for your animals, as I am, I recommend this practice wholeheartedly.

It’s always hard to have to find a new Vet clinic when you move. I am very happy I found Colonial Heights animal hospital for my cat, Ralph. Scheduling appointments has been very easy. The staff is Very friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean. The Veterinarian who sees Ralph is very good with him and thorough. He also answered all my questions. You can tell they want the best for your pet/pets. I am very happy with my experience here.

This is the best vet I have ever brought my pets to. They provide exceptional care whether it’s boarding, a yearly checkup, or an emergency visit. It’s affordable and you can tell each staff member truly cares about your pet’s wellbeing.

Staff is so friendly and answered every question we had about our small dog, Bella. She stayed pretty calm as they administered shots and a physical exam. It’s obvious they know how to make pets feel safe and well cared for. Thank you for treating my little Bella like your own!

First of all, Dr. Gray is the best. Always very caring of all our pets. He is very knowledgeable and researches when he needs to. As great as he is, I don't think anyone could do such a fantastic job without the support and assistance of the dedicated staff. We have truly been amazed at how wonderfully our pets have been taken care of there. We have never left our pets with anyone. If one of us needs to leave town, the other has to stay with the pets. We recently talked and decided that if we ever had to leave then your facility is the only place we would trust. We don't even trust our families to care as much as you do and that says a lot.
