Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

My cat had an emergency Friday night and I called Saturday morning and asked twice for help. The vet couldn't make an exception and get us in on Saturday. They wanted me to wait 4 days for an appointment when it was very important. They would not make an exception and help. If your too busy to help a long time patient and customer when it's an emergency what good are you as a primary doctor for my pet? Ill take my business elsewhere...I've spent thousands at this place yet get zero special attention when asked and needed. Also, I posted on their Facebook page nothing but true comments only to get it erased and swept under the table. Updated: no one called me Saturday. I called 3 times and asked for help. Y'all had your chance to help a patient and were too busy. I found another Vet . No need in calling after you couldn't help for 4 days.

Dr Carpenter and her staff were awesome. They were kind and caring to both my dog and me. In an urgent situation they did everything possible to care for my dog and prevent the need of specialist intervention. My dog is now recovered and doing great. I’m so thankful for Ft. Henry Animal Hospital.
