How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Yates Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

So went to pick up medication for my cats to treat fleas Yates knows we had a flea issue with our cats due to our tenant not vaccinating his dog or treating him when we use to watch them , they only gave us 1 vile for my cat jasper and Kallie, and their reasoning was we need to do an updated vaccines and correct weight and an annual check up, since dr Yates retired things have definitely not been the same in the last 2 months I have spent more then 700 there I swear they think people have money trees growing in their backyards, why on earth would I spend money on a visit that’s not needed because my cats are indoor cats, I take them when they have health issues otherwise my cats are healthy,, not pleased with the situation at all,
