How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Cheltenham Veterinary Centre

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

We recently had to say goodbye to our beloved Tiger boy, who lived a long and beautiful life. The staff at Cheltenham Vet Clinic were incredibly humble and sympathetic during this emotional time. They made sure our boy was comfortable in his final moments, showing him the utmost care and compassion. Knowing that he found his final resting space in such a loving environment brought us a bit of peace amidst our sadness. We are deeply grateful for their support and understanding. We will be picking up his ashes next week, and while our hearts ache, we find comfort in the kindness shown by everyone at Cheltenham. 🌈💔

Nothing but great things to say about this centre. They went above and beyond providing a script from another vet same day with hours till closing. Amazing service, highly recommend and very friendly and caring towards any animals well being. Thank you so much from the Smith family and keep up the great work. We appreciate the support!

We have been with this vet for over 20 years. We have had multiple pets along the years as well. They’ve always been amazing and caring. In the past they have helped anyway they can! Today my cat was in labour and I had a quick question about whether or not I leave the remaining umbilical cord. The mom had already done her part and was no longer attached. I was wondering if it should remain that long or should I shorten it. The secretary told me she couldn’t answer and also asked if I had checked google. Last time I checked google wasn’t a vet. I’ve had another litter of kittens many years ago and when I called for assistance at that time I had no problems with them answering a couple questions. As a pet parent I want to make sure I’m making the right choices for my animals especially when one’s giving birth. Last thing I want is sick, hurt or dying animals being born. Not impressed today Cheltenham. 4 stars because this is a first time, ever, complaint. Thankfully all kittens are healthy and doing great, so is momma cat! Pat on my own back today.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Cheltenham vet clinic and the fabulous staff. They gave my dog back a pain-free life, after 2.5 yrs living in pain from another vets mistake. Dr David Kirkham was a wonderful man, and they surgery was perfect. I can not express my gratitude for how he treated us and our fur baby. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

Expensive, the service was okay, but I spent a small fortune to get bad news.... everyone was nice, but at the end of the day, they're a business... mind you everything nowadays is expensive. I'm not sure why I felt that a vet would be any different.
