Dr. Reid, Dr. Kinzl, Courtney and the staff at LVAH are the most compassionate and caring people. For years they took such loving care of my aging yorkie, Kiwi who had seizures and overtime, many other health challenges. We were frequent visitors, and my pet insurance maxed out quickly. Dr. Reid would always be mindful and provide me with different treatment options to consider and discussed thoroughly the pros and cons of each recommendation. Because of Kiwi’s declining health, there were many times she needed to be seen quickly. The team would always help try to fit her for last minute appointments. I truly felt that they cared for me and Kiwi - and that we were more than just their clients or another invoice. Even though I had a lot of anxiety and questions - and at times, maybe difficult, I was always met with kindness and patience. As I moved throughout the years, I’ve always found myself going back to LVAH because of the amazing people. Their team would even make accommodations at times to make sure I was able to pick up medications with my long commute (thank you, Courtney). Kiwi has passed but I wanted to let the team know that I felt so comforted knowing that she had the best care. The compassion they had truly showed that they knew Kiwi wasn’t just my dog, but part of my family. I have no doubt that any pet in their care will receive the best care in the city.

I brought my pet here a couple of times a few years ago. I found it to be poor value for the service you received, especially now that I have gone to other vet clinics in the area. Their consultation fee is comparable to other vets so you expect the service and quality to reflect the same but I found you were always rushed and the Dr was always in and out and not fully focused on what you were saying. I brought my cat a few times, but in two cases I got a response of ‘I’ve never seen something like this before’ after showing multiple videos. There was no resolution other than the $125+tax consultation fee after 10 minutes of seeing me and the ‘I don’t know’ response. I even sent the videos ahead of time to see if the pricey appointment was needed which they deemed so, plus my cat does very poorly in cars so I try to avoid coming in at all costs. It happened again for another situation. It left me with a bad feeling and that it was just about the money. They also have a 10 min late-policy in place which I understand the reason for doing so but they won’t be sympathetic for the possible reasons that you might happen to be 10 min late even though you may have left earlier for your appointment (car accident causing traffic to be slower, issues finding parking etc). I had this happen once. My cat peed all over my car in fear of being in it, so I called saying I will be 10 mins late and they said it was fine, I would not be charged. I arrived and I was 11 minutes past once I got to the desk and they issued the $50 charge and said they wouldn’t see me even though I know the appointment would have taken only 15 minutes tops. Covered in pee, we had to go back $50 charged later without being seen. That was the final straw to look at other vet clinics in the area and trust me when I say there are SO many better options nearby that treat you and your pet with exceptional care, provide a calm environment and are super attentive to your pet and what you are saying.

Having close calls really makes you appreciate the quality time with family in my case my Aussie-Chi Ivy🥰. The amazing team of vets, technicians, and secretaries went above and beyond to save both of us. I'm incredibly thankful for their dedication and believe they deserve more praise. Their compassion and expertise were a lifeline, and I’m forever grateful.

I recently visited Liberty Village Animal Hospital for an issue with my cat, and while the clinic is clean, and staffed by friendly professionals, I was disappointed with the experience. The vet provided vague answers about my cat’s condition, suggesting it “could be many things” and recommended testing without offering much clarity. I left feeling uncertain about my cat’s diagnosis and treatment plan. Thankfully, I was able to return to my regular vet at Queen Dufferin Animal Hospital, who quickly suspected an infection and prescribed antibiotics. Within 12 hours, my cat was back to his normal self. While Liberty offers a nice facility, I feel their approach fell short and would recommend exploring other options.

Fantastic clinic! Not only is Dr. Kinzl an extremely knowledgeable vet, she also really cares for the animals. She quickly and accurately diagnosed my sister in laws dogs condition and he was able to get the proper care. Thanks again!
