Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

We really liked some of the former vets and were very fond of the administrative staff. Unsure what happened but over time we noticed that the vets turned over frequently and became more billing-driven. Initially, we were told that some services would not be billed, which hadn’t been, but then all of the sudden we were being charged and the admin would not verify the situation with the vet and treated us as if we were trying to wiggle out of a $30 charge. It was not the amount but the principal of the matter. This same admin person caused us more issues and it appeared to be unecessary fabrications to put us out - which we verified later as correct. The third strike was when we called in advance to ask about a medical situation and the admin confirmed with a vet that testing should be performed and they scheduled us to come in. When we arrived, from afar, the tending vet lectured us about not needing the test. For certain we were confused by the mixed information and asked why their colleague recommended it. The vet became passive aggressive and did not address our confusion but rather told us to not be mad. Of course we were rightfully upset but we maintained a polite but firm request for an understanding. Overall, I feel that tone at the top must be changing and our favourite vet clinic had changed in ways we did not support. We had issue with the admin person and asked to speak with the office manager. He said he would ask her to call us the next day but we never heard from her and suspect that this was part of his shenanigans and frankly, as good, long time paying customers, I had had enough with the disrespect. We have multiple pets with be good billable potential for this practice. I was very disappointed by this behaviour and had to make the decision to switch vets. The level of brazen deceit this person had shown us over the last year had driven us away.

I can't say enough good things about Blueberry Creek Veterinary Hospital, especially Pete and Dr. Erin Hayden. They go out of their way to be accommodating, but more importantly KIND. Like all pet owners, my cat Rupert means the world to me. They are patient, and knowledgeable and I know they have my pet's best interest at heart. Thank you so much!

The staff members were so caring, so compassionate in treating our very ill Chloe...like she was their very own. That same care and compassion was extended to me. Thank-you Blueberry Creek, for making a difficult time a lot easier.

Such a wonderful team of professionals who really do care for you and your furry family members. They will go out of their way, they are kind and very knowledgeable. Although my sweet girl couldn’t be saved I never once felt as though they didn’t do absolutely everything they could do for her. 🌈
