How to Save Money at Morgan Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Since switching to Morgan from another veterinary clinic, we have been routinely impressed with their service and level of care. At our previous, busy clinic, we felt that over time, we had just become a number. We have always felt well-cared for at Morgan. Our reactive dog has a genetic joint condition and early signs of arthritis, so he goes monthly for an injection to help him, meaning we have been there many times over the past three years. Our dog is very at-ease with the staff at Morgan, which is important since we are there so often. It's very important to me for my dog to have positive experiences at the vet. The staff (except for one person) follow my instructions for interacting with my dog, which I truly appreciate! They also allow me to book his routine injections during less-busy office times, which helps keep his reactivity to a minimum. Morgan is a bit more expensive than our last vet, but since their service is great, I do not mind spending more on my dog's care. I am someone who likes to do my own research on pet health and nutrition in order to make informed decisions. I appreciate that Morgan staff doesn't push me to make quick decisions with my dog's non-emergency care, nor do they seem upset when I have decided to follow a different course of action than what they suggested. My only constructive/negative feedback is: -There is one vet tech whom I have needed to remind multiple times that my dog does not like being petted on the head. I know my dog's file specifies this about his head because other staff have told me it is in the file. This tech has rolled her eyes at me on several occasions when I have reminded her. -With this same vet tech, once in the summer, I forgot to bring water for my dog with me and he seemed warm, so I asked if she could get him a bowl of water. We lived 40 minutes from Morgan at the time, so I wanted to ensure his thirst was sated before we headed home. She got him a bowl of water, but acted as though it was a huge inconvenience for her. -One of the places I frequent with my dog (The Meadow) requires an annual stool sample. I had to argue a bit at Morgan to have the stool sample done because apparently their rule is that stool samples are only to be done when there is a medical indication that it is needed. I recommend revisiting/revising this rule.

I am always thrilled how quickly my dogs get in for appointments and how responsive the team is, from reception to vet techs to the veterinarians. They listen to concerns and work with me to solve problems. Thank you!l from Chloe and Charlie.

I've a client at Morgan's now for over 15 years, now with my 3rd kitten/cat . Dr Morgan and staff have been so kind, exceptionally knowledgeable and accommodating throughout the years. Their compassion and understanding through the passing of two of my cats was more than comforting. I moved to a different city, took my new kitten to two new vets for an ongoing issue my kitten had and after over a month of no results. I went back to Morgan's and was so relieved, after only one visit the problem was found, taken care of and now she she is feeling so much better. I can't thank everyone at Morgan's enough for their, kindness, exceptional knowledge, professionalism and overall care of my fur family. Thank you for all you do!!

Amazing team of doctors and technicians. My cat has been needing weekly visits and each time I am treated with care and compassion. I think we have seen all the doctors at Morgan's at this point and each of them provided great knowledge and help. The technicians have done a really wonderful job dealing with my difficult cat which is amazing. Dr Bailey has been our main doctor and it shows she really cares about her patients with the help she has provided. Would highly recommend for all vet needs.

I want to thank all the staff that took care of my little guy til the end. I found the staff friendly, very understanding, and honest. They were upfront about the costs. The Dr. Didn't do anything I didn't consent to. She was honest about his prognosis and she supported me in whatever my decision was. I highly recommend this place to care for your four legged friends. Thank you for everything.❤
