This can't be an animal...too clean and professional looking. The entrance is inviting and the receptionist is very welcoming. We had an appointment scheduled for 2:30 pm and was escorted into the examination room 10 minutes early. The vets assistant performed the pre examination and made sure the 2 dogs were calm and relaxed for the vet. Took all of 20 minutes to examine both dogs and we were on are way home again. The puppies slept all the way back (30 min ) and all was back to normal.

So our dog past away. We had an emergency vet prescribe a medication that was helping. Minden decided not to refill it and just see what happens. What happened was he past away. After that my wife ordered ceramic paw prints and they screwed up the paper work. Now the dog has been cremated and minden didn't order them and we have no way to get them. This vet has been god awful. All we get is sorry. Well sorry doesn't cut it. Update. Now Nicole the manger is avoiding my calls and hangs up on me when I do get her on the phone. Her resolution to this problem is is the owner will purchase 1 memorial item and it is shipped at our expense. They blame my wife even though the receptionist filled out the paperwork. My mother was also there to witness she did. So far there is no accountability and they are only offering the memorial if I take down this review. So no they are using the death of pur dog as and excuse to sweep this incompetence under the rug. These people are absolutely disgusting people and should never deal with these situations ever again. Makes me question how much they actually care about your pets.

2024 UPDATE: You know you’ve found a safe place for the family pet when you write a Google review three years in a row! What’s new with our relationship with this animal hospital? The fact that we now drive 3 hours each way to have our Belgian Malinois vetted. (We moved further away.) Annual check-ups, vaccinations, training and feeding advice, you name it and you’ll find it here. Ethical billing. Staff takes time to explain drugs/procedures/best practice to you - repeatedly if need be! I hope our next move is closer, but if not I’ll do my damnest to make the trip back here every year. 2023 UPDATE: Amazing service and exceptional care! UPDATE: This is our 3rd visit to Minden Animal Hospital and I can't say enough great things about the place! I've now found the vet and techs and front desk team that I can fully trust. We feel valued there. Like family. Every member of the staff listen and take the time needed and answer all questions and concerns. My pup even went out for a potty break mid-visit and happily walked back in again! No aversion whatsoever.

Really wonderful animal hospital, and I'm picky too lol! We are so lucky they take new patients, we haven't been able to find a vet since we moved to Hastings. Minden is worth the drive. They make the process easy and don't put your pet through any more trouble than necessary (which is excellent if you have three cats who hate the vet). When our dog swallowed a bone they took her in right away even though we didn't have an appointment, they helped us understand all our options and checked in regularly until she successfully passed the offending item. They're now seeing my senior cat regularly and I feel confident about the quality of care we are receiving from their team. And that's another thing I really like about the Minden hospital, it's not just one person helping your pet, you get a whole team helping you. And they all are highly knowledgeable so it makes me feel like we are getting a much more comprehensive understanding of our pets health, especially compared to a typical vet office. Our animals are everything to us and we are so glad to have found Minden, we recommend them to everyone we know in the area who is looking for a vet.

What a wonderful team! Liana, Cristen, Madi, and Dr. Jenn took excellent care of us when we had an emergency with our girl Sadie. We will be forever grateful for your kindness and compassion.
