How to Save Money at Eagles Landing Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Had a terrible experience here. This is not my usual vet but I had an emergency and was close by so I came here. My dog got attacked by a big black shepherd / husky mix. I came in here; was charged for a “full examination” .. we were in the room with the Dr for literally not even 90 seconds. She barely looked / touched anywhere and said “your dog seems fine.” And sent us on our way without any medication or any due diligence. Over $100 for a 90 second visit and no expertise or help given. Fast forward to 3 hours later, I’m at home and my dog lays in a weird position (probably due to pain) and I notice a HUGE gash on her inside thigh. There’s absolutely no way a Dr should have missed it. It wasn’t a little paper cut .. it was a hole in her leg. It’s straight up laziness, incompetence, or negligence. You decide. Anyways. At this point it’s night, and my dog is crying in pain and won’t let me go anywhere near her leg. She had to go the whole night without any help or pain meds until I could go to my regular vet the next day. I would never recommend anyone go here. EDIT: in response to the businesses reply, I don’t know how to respond directly to your reply so I’ll reply here. It was dec 13 or 14 2019. And it was 10000% at this location.

Hands down the best vet in the area. I have a Chihuahua that does not like any strangers coming near him…let alone a Vet. This is the third Vet I’ve tried. Dr. B walks into the room, 30 seconds later my dog is in his arms and they are best friends. Very thorough care and the support staff is amazing!

Eagles landing animal hospital has taken such amazing care of my dog for years. Unfortunately we had to put her down in October this year. I cannot express in words how well they handled her care as a 16 year old chihuahua. Thank you so so so much! Cannot thank you guys enough for the year of commitment and care. Wishing you guys all the best and thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

Dr B and his team are really caring, loving and professional. After taking our dog there it feels we are in good hands. Thanks Dr B and your team for taking so good care of my dog and making him feel comfortable after surgery. Looking forward for for next visits for my dog.

I had a horrible experience and do caution people to ask questions before booking appt with them. First, when I booked the appt they didn’t mention to me about any additional costs or fees other than the vaccination itself. Then when we brought our cat in for his second vaccine the dr did the full examination even though he already had a full examination done in the previous hospital we went to couple of weeks ago. Which is fine, but then they charged us an extra $100 ish and when I asked why we are charged this when we did not ask for a full exam and consultation they told me this is the law and they charge this every time for every visit. The receptionist was very unfriendly in her tone and the way she explained the cost. I told her why didn’t anyone tell us about this cost? If this was the case I would’ve just gone to the clinic we usually go to because they don’t charge us an exam fee for every visit. The whole experience was so off for me. It felt like this cost was not explained to me at all and when asked why I’m paying this they were aggressively telling me this is the law. Like I’m not asking you if this is the law or not, I’m asking you just for a reason for what I’m paying for because I don’t know what I’m paying for. Anyways despite this clinic being so close to home and convenient and wanting to make this hospital our cats go to place. I’m so disappointed and I highly would not recommend this place to anyone who wants a friendly service and an explanation for every penny you’re spending. An animal hospital is a place that provides service to animals and their caregivers. I would expect better service than what I received today. A disappointing experience so just 1 star
