How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Exeter Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Thank you so much to everyone at the clinic, from our family, for your amazing care of our dog Derby over his life time. Thank you also for your compassion and thoughtfulness the past month as we made the difficult decision. We appreciate the card and the donation that you made in his name. We are grateful for your care and service.

I absolutely LOVE Exeter Animal Hospital. My 10 year old chocolate lab has been going there since he was born. We are always welcomed with warm smiles & lots of laughter because my dog acts like a ham!(smiling, rolling over for belly rubs & handing out kisses to everyone). They have always been so thorough with all my questions & concerns & always take time to love on my dog. My dog is my world & I wouldn’t trust anyone other than Dr. Shapiro & her team

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Shapiro and her team. Linda is the sweetest woman who cares very deeply for every animal that comes in the office. She knew from past visits that our dog was not doing well and her kindness and urgency to get us the care we needed was something we will never forget. Both Linda and Dr. Shapiro helped us in getting emergency life saving surgery for our very much loved family dog within hours of seeing them and their kindness and empathy on a day where we were still trying to process the severity of the situation did not go unnoticed. After receiving surgery from another clinic, Linda called for an update and to ensure our dog was doing better. Thanks again Linda and Dr. Shapiro you truly are the best!
