Animal Hospital of East Barrie

We’ve been here for years and there’s never really any care when it comes to the way my animal is treated. She is never offered her nails to be cut, and they are always so timid and demand she wears a muzzle, even though she is friendly. Spend all your money here and still have no results. I’m not sure they know what they’re doing. Some people get into the profession because they have compassion and care I wouldn’t consider these people to be among them Customer lost

These guys are great. They take good care of my dog who is full of anxiety at the vets. He actually chewed through his leash while there the other day and they gave me another one....they are awesome👍👍Highly recommend this vet. You get what you pay for. They may cost a bit more but the attention and care your pet gets is worth it.

Ive been taking my animals to this clinic for the past 6 years. Since we've switched to a new clinic due to the level of service recieved I'm now really realizing the extreme lack of care and interest that was given in regard to our animals well being. It seems that this clinic is only interested in the payment for these visits and they have no real concern for animals at all. Example; they wanted to extract my 4 year old cats teeth in the near future, saying they were were in rough shape. This was confusing and an immediate red flag. Ive taken the same cat to a different vet where she recieved nothing but compliments for her oral health. We also had another cat that was overweight and they had suggested we put him on diet food and to not stop free feeding him because it would lead to food anxiety. On his next check up we were shamed for doing this very thing, and were told we should be giving him a specific amount. Understandable directions but also confused at the contradicting advice? There was always very little care and concern to actually fix the issues and be on the same page. Since going to our new vet clinic and experiencing the difference of service in people who actually care about our animals I am left with a lot of anger and disappointment with Animal Hospital of East Barrie. People are supposed to trust their veterinary clinics and should be able to assume that they have the best intentions and unfortunately that isnt always the case. I'm writing this review to warn anyone else that cares about their animals to spend their money elsewhere and recieve appropriate treatment. There are far better clinics in the area and I just wish i had made this switch way sooner.

They’re well priced and most of the staff are very warm, relaxing and seemingly sincere, but unfortunately there’s a few that are not, and have to recommend doing your own research, and keeping receipts - witness’ or voice notes. 1. Wasn’t informed/didn’t consent to potential consequences of a procedure, that they knew a previous vet had talked me out of, and were aware that my understanding of potential consequences weren’t accurate. Very small eye lump removed, returned over 10x the size with reoccurring infection. Pay close attention to advice from vets who discourage procedures and do your own research. I feel like a huge idiot for naively trusting and letting this happen. 2. Repeatedly refused to release records until CVO was mentioned. (Pictured) after reviewing other complaints, this seems to be their policy. 3. Records have conflicting information to both emails and memory, there’s a mix of things that are provable and some not. False accusations are in writing. Should have recorded all appointments and calls. 4. Requested to resolve with vet more than once, aim to be very forgiving and don’t want anything from them except to know that it won’t happen to others, but they refuse to discuss. Was last told that they “highly encourage” that we report to the CVO. They already have staff that is listed as reported and disciplined. I get that it can be hard for business’ to admit fault in case they’re taken to court, and they know that most people don’t have the time and energy to report and/or go to court. And of course it doesn’t always feel good to face mistakes. But I’d bet that if they responded to issues as most vets seem to, they would find that most complainants just want what everyone wants, honesty, respect. Hopefully they realize that owning up to problems isn’t so bad, is actually more efficient for everyone, sooner than later.

Have been bringing my dog Dawson here for years, wouldn't go anywhere else!!! Great team, always feel very welcomed. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
